BOSSASO (SD) – Officials from the Puntland administration visited villages and areas in the Bari region, holding key meetings with local communities.

The security forces specifically visited Timirshe, an area recently liberated from ISIS. The officials urged the community to cooperate with security forces to maintain peace and stability, emphasizing that residents had lived under ISIS rule for a long time and should now work closely with the government.

Additionally, Puntland officials promised development projects and infrastructure improvements in areas cleared of ISIS. They reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting the residents in rebuilding essential services and livelihoods.

The officials also mentioned that Puntland’s top leadership would soon visit these liberated areas. Puntland recently launched a major military offensive against ISIS, successfully reclaiming several key areas in the Bari region.
