Garoowe October 13,2022 (SD) -The President of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, held a meeting with Puntland Political Organizations and the Transitional Committee for Puntland Elections and discussed ways to speed up the election of Local Councils in Puntland districts.

The Minister of Interior, Federal and Democratization of Puntland and the Chairman of the Transitional Committee for Puntland Elections Abdi Farah Juha and Abdirisaq Ahmed Said, updated the attendees about the preparation and completion efforts of the local council elections in Puntland districts.

Some leaders of Puntland Political Organizations who participated in the meeting, also shared their commitment on how they are ready to participate in the local council elections in Puntland districts.

The Puntland President, Said Abdullahi Deni, announced at the meeting that the Government will provide financial support to the Political Organizations.

The administration will give each organization $10,000 for the first operation, and $3,00 a month during the election campaign.

The President of Puntland said he was appointing the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Puntland, as to complete the Electoral laws of one person.
