Mogadishu (SD) – Acting Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mahdi Mohamed Guled (Khadar) chaired a meeting between the Federal Government of Somalia and representatives of the international community in Mogadishu today.
The meeting between the Somali government and representatives of the International Community focused on security, economic, social, and political issues in the country.
Acting Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia Dr. Abdirahman Duale Bayle briefed the attendees on all the efforts and achievements of the Somali government on the country’s financial system.
“Today I attended a conference between Somalia and its international partners, chaired by the caretaker Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled. I am happy with the way the international ambassadors in our country are helping us with our economic development process.” Said the acting Minister of Finance Dr. Abdirahman Duale Bayle.
The international community, in a statement issued yesterday, said it was regrettable that the announced process fell short of Somalia’s long-held goal of direct voting for members of parliament in this round of elections.
