MOGADISHU (SD) – The newly appointed Prime Minister of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre has today asked the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia for a vote of confidence.
All 220 members of the House of the People were present at today session for the confirmation of the appointed PM.
Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe said all lawmakers present at the meeting voted in favor of Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.
Somalia’s new prime minister has been sworn in before lawmakers, and is expected to take office soon and form a new government.
