Somalia: Drone strike targets a house in Jilib

-A drone has reportedly bombed a house in the city of Jilib, where it is alleged that high-ranking members of the Al-Shabaab group were residing.

According to reports, the drone fired two missiles at the house yesterday, causing significant damage. Residents reported witnessing the destruction of a house in Jilib, describing it as a powerful explosion, and they indicated that they were unable to ascertain the extent of the damage caused by the airstrike.

The Somali government and the United States, who have been known to conduct such operations against Al-Shabaab, have not provided any official statements regarding this particular airstrike.

Al-Shabaab has alleged that a drone belonging to the U.S. targeted a civilian house, resulting in the injury of two individuals, including an 11-year-old girl.
