MOGADISHU (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has officially announced the opening of the Political and Community Leaders’ Dialogue Forum, which will be held in Mogadishu on June 15, 2025.
This decision follows extensive consultations between the president and regional state leaders, former national leaders, political organizations, and civil society, aimed at strengthening political understanding, reconciliation, and national unity.
The Dialogue Forum will focus on key issues for Somalia’s state-building, including ensuring security and combating terrorism, Democratization, and the implementation of free elections, finalizing the provisional constitution, National unity, and genuine reconciliation among the Somali people.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud called on all politicians, traditional leaders, and various segments of society to prepare and actively participate in the forum to engage in genuine dialogue about the country’s future.
A special technical committee, led by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Mr. Hassan Moallim Mohamud, has been assigned to oversee the logistical preparations for the forum. This committee will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth progress of matters related to the conference.
The official statement from the Office of the President emphasized that the forum will serve as a platform for constructive discussions aimed at building a stable, prosperous, and inclusive political future where Somalis can work together in unity.
