Hargeisa (SD) –The Director General of Somaliland Ministry of Health Mohamed Abdi Hargeye, in his daily Covid_19 briefing announced new COVID-19 cases in the country.

The director said 11 new patients were confirmed on Saturday, making the total number of people with the virus 34.

The director also said one person died of Covid_19, bringing the number of people who died of the virus in the country to 4.

There are three people who recovered from the virus and about 64 others are currently in quarantine.

The country recently started testing people locally with a WHO provided lab facility, making testing more widespread and faster.

Fears of the spread of the virus is also prevalent in the country as more and more contract and die form the virus.
