Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland’s Local and Parliamentary election campaign, which began on May 23, ended yesterday with Wadani party rally.

The Wadani Party, which ended the six-day campaign, held rallies in all regions and districts of Somaliland.

Somaliland’s local and representative election campaign, which lasted 6 days started on May 23 through May 28, 2021, had candidates from Wadani, UCID and Kulmiye parties participating.

The campaign day was limited to 6 days, with each party only getting two days to campaign, while in the past the campaign lasted for at least 21 days.

Local and representative election campaigns were held in all of Somaliland’s regions and ended peacefully.

The Somaliland Electoral Commission said the election campaign ended without any hiccups.

Somaliland long awaited Local and Parliamentary Elections are set to take place across the country next Sunday.
