Hargeisa (SD) – The chairman of the National Electoral Commission of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirashid Mohamud Ali (Abdirashid Riyo-raac) today announced the process of issuing Voter Cards will begin on 31-03-2021.

The chairman added the process of issuing voter cards will officially begin in Marodijeh, Awdal and Gabiley regions, and voting cards will be distributed at same polling stations for three days.

Abdirashid “Riyo Raac” the chairman of the National Electoral Commission of the Republic of Somaliland called on the people to take the voting cards, and take advantage of the deadline to receive the cards.

The chairman reminded the community to follow the Ministry of Health Development’s guidelines on the control of Covid-19 virus, such as wearing Masks and practicing social distancing while getting their voter cards.

The National Electoral Commission of Somaliland has thanked the national parties, the various armed forces, universities, the international community and the people of Somaliland in general, for their cooperation with the National Electoral Commission and in participating in the electoral and registration process.
