Gar-adag (SD) – Gar-adag district police commander in Sanaag region, Abbas Mohamed Diriye, was reportedly killed yesterday during an operation by the district police force.

The operation took place in God-heelin area, which falls under Gar-adag district, the commander was killed as his army encountered resistance from the guards of the alleged criminal.

It is not yet known why the Gar-adag police force were trying to arrest the alleged criminal.

The Somaliland police have not yet released an official statement on the killing of Gar-adag commander.
