Somaliland president condemns Israeli bombardment of Gaza

Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi, described the situation in Palestine as “slaughter” and called on powerful government to address the violence in Gaza.

The President said that Somaliland is deeply saddened by the plight of the Palestinian people.

“Somaliland is deeply saddened by what is happening in Palestine, our strength today is limited to prayers, we offer our heartfelt Islamic support ” said President Bihi.

The president made the remarks in his speech on the 30th anniversary of Somaliland’s independence.

The president called on powerful nations to address the plight of the Palestinian people.

“The five world powers, which support the oppression of Palestinian civilians, orphans and the poor, we say to the world, the world will not remain the same, let the oppressed people be saved “he said.

“It is unreasonable to tell both sides to cease fire, Palestine is like an slaughtered animal that can only move its legs.” said Bihi

“Governments with veto powers you have a duty and history will not remain like that,” he added.

The Somaliland president’s statement comes as the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel increased significantly, as the Israeli air force has carried out a series of deadly airstrikes in Gaza.
