Somaliland: Vice President unveils UAE funded Hospital in Berbera

Berbera (SD) – The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) has unveils a new UAE funded hospital in Berbera.

The mayor of Berbera who spoke at the opening ceremony thanked the funders, and added that the hospital would improve health services in the region.

Somaliland’s Minister of Health Development who also spoke at opening ceremony said that the hospital is one of the many other hospitals built in the country.

The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) who finally unveil the Khalifa Hospital in Berbera thanked the UAE government for its construction.

On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates today handed over solar power to the government of Somaliland in Berbera.

The UAE government through DP World operates the port of Berbera, Somalilanders expect the UAE and DP World as a responsible entities to invest more in the development of public services.
