Somaliland: Wadani critizesed President Bihi over Djibouti deal

Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland’s largest opposition Party Wadani critizesed president Muse Bihi of handing over Tokhoshi water wells in Selel region to Djibouti.

President Muse Bihi just got back from a trip to Djibouti, were that country reportedly asked for the water wells.

Wadani party secretary for social affairs Mohamed Sidiq Dhamme issued a statement urging the public not to be distracted by Muse Bihi’s election-related controversy, were he talked about how he defeated a clan instead of an position party.

Secretary Dhamme said “The president just gave away Water Wells and Farmlands that the previous government refused to give, without Djibouti recognizing Somaliland first, and is trying to distract the public with his controversial election comments”.

Djibouti is reportedly interested in stablishing a second water supply, Ethiopia being the other supplier with low quality water.
