Qardho (SD) – The chairman of the Puntland Transitional Electoral Commission, Guled Salah Bare, told the media that the election ended smoothly except for people who waited in line long at some polling stations.

Chairman Guled indicated that the counting of votes has began and continuous at the polling stations.

He added that the counting would be done in the presence of representatives from all the political parties with local and international observers.

Chairman Guled Salah thanked the people who cast their ballots in the three districts and praised them for their resilience and perseverance.
