Mogadishu (SD) – Villa Somalia has officially announced the opening date of the much-anticipated conference between the Federal Government of Somalia and the heads of regional states in Mogadishu.
The director of information at the presidential palace Abdinur Mohamed Ahmed, posted on his Twitter account that the meeting between the federal government and the country’s regional administrations will start on Thursday, September 10 at the presidential palace.
The director did not mention the possible duration of the conference or if other stakeholders will attend the summit.
Director Abdinur said the conference will analyze and finalize the country’s electoral process.
The director added that the Dhusamareb 3 conference agreements will be the basis for the upcoming conference between the federal government and regional administrations.
The leaders of Jubaland, Puntland and President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo recently agreed to hold a meeting with all regional administrations to reach a consensus on the process of the upcoming elections in the country.
