Burao(SD)-Somaliland’s UCID Chairman Faisal Ali Warabe at Alfa University graduation ceremony in Burao revealed a meeting between IGAD General and Col. Arre who is hiding in the moutinous region in Sanag.

There have been recent reconciliation efforts by Somaliland elders in trying to bring the Somaliland government and the defected militia led by Col. Arre.

Eng. Faisal Ali Warabe who did not give details on when the meeting between Col. Arre and IGAD took place said they did not like outcome.

An IGAD General met with Col. Arre and his group, according to Eng. Faisal Ali, IGAD asked him the reasons they’re fighting, Col. Arre and his group claimed that the Somaliland government undermined them, IGAD then told them that conflict in Somaliland was not acceptable since Somalilanders have other ways in mitigating their issues, such as through the opposition parties and the free media.

Eng. Faisal Ali Warabe did not spill the beans on how Col. Arre responded to the IGAD General’s dismissal of their grievances.
