Mogadishu(SD)-The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, has signed into law the creation of an independent anti-corruption commission following a ceremony at the National Presidency and it will become the official law.
The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, thanked everyone who participated in preparing the bill for the establishment of an independent anti-corruption commission.
“Corruption is not just stealing money, it is also the person who is irresponsible individually by abusing power, without fear of God,” President Farmajo said.
The event, which was broadcasted live on the national media, was attended by a number of officials including ministers, lawmakers, military officials, lawyers, religious scholars, business and civil society organizations and it was highly commendable that this law be implemented.
