Las Anod April 01, 2023 (SD) – There has been a fierce battle between the military forces of Somaliland and SSC troops on the outskirts of the city of Las Anod, the capital of the Sool region.

According to reports, the battle was intense and caused various casualties. The fighting is mostly taking place on the outskirts of Las Anod.

Somaliland authorities claim they have repelled an attack by Puntland forces and other armed groups, saying they have arrested the militants who launched the attack.

Somaliland officials also captured former MP Farah Mohamed Dalmar who was involved in the fighting today.

Somaliland authorities also displayed military equipment, prisoners, and other equipment they claim were seized from the attackers on the outskirts of Las Anod.
