Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Petroleum met with the Ohio community

Columbus-(SD)-Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Minerals Mohamud Abdikadir Hilaal held a dinner with the Somali community in Columbus Ohio last night.

The minister talked about the ministry’s status, considering that the country and the people of Somalia now need to utilize their resources in a systematic way.

“If we do not we do not extract our recourses the world may move beyond the use of fuel and that will be a blow to the countries that did not take advantage, including Somalia, “the minister said as the world moves on and changes.

The locals who spoke at the dinner told the minister that the Somali people expects a tangible plans for the country.

Any extraction possibilities will depend on the outcomes of the ICJ who is currently deliberating over the Somali and Kenyan oil reserves in the sea.
