Hargeisa(SD)-The Somaliland government plans to lease the commercial fuel depots of Berbera to a Switzerland owned but Singapore-based company called Trafigura.

Somaliland Fuel traders have been told that the company will take over the management of Berbera oil depot.

The government have also imposed new requirements on fuel quality, which experts have said traders cannot afford.

The company Trafigura is also expected to take over the supply of oil as well has previously been accused of distributing contaminated fuel in Africa.
