Lughaya (SD) – Reports from Awdal region say that a girl, aged 15, was raped and killed in Lughaya district on October 16.

The victim, identified as Shukri Yusuf Hussein, was brutally raped before she was killed, the killer is reportedly murdered her with an ax.

The incident took place late at night in Turan village, in Lughaya district of Awdal, according to residents of that village.

Reports also indicate that the Somaliland police arrested a man suspected of the crime after hours of searching the area.
