Dhusamareb(SD)-Deputy Minister of the Somali Ministry of Livestock Abdikarim Khalif Abdi Dhalac posted on his Facebook page that he had resigned from the Somali government.

The deputy minister said the reason for the move was because he could not withstand the federal government’s intervention in the Galmudug state.

The deputy minister said the federal government is directly involved in the affairs of the Galmudug regional government and the reorganization of Galmudug by the federal government will  result political, economic, security and development delays.

“I call on the government to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the country and the federal system as a whole and stop the interference of the regional state,” said the Deputy Minister.

The Somali government is engaged in the formation of the Galmudug state and recently the president of Somalia was in Dhusamareb for the conclusion ceremony at the Galmudug regional reconciliation conference.
