Dhusamareb (SD) – A statement from the Head office of Galmudug government and Ahlu Sunna leader Sheikh Mohamed Shakir Ali Hassan welcomed a deal with the Ministry of Interior and Ahlu Sunna over the dispute over the formation of a Galmudug state.

The statement from the office of Sheikh Mohamed Shakir Ali Hassan said that Ahlu Sunna accepted the agreement from the Ministry of Interior and Reconciliation that would allow Ahlu Sunna to select 20 lawmakers of the new Galmudug 89 MPs parliament.

The agreement, which came after a lengthy dialogue between the Federal Government and ASWJ, supported by all segments of society, forms the basis for a unified Galmudug.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre, welcomed the agreement between the Federal Government and Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama (AWSJ).
