Mogadishu (SD) – Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the deadly Ex-control Afgoye bombing in Mogadishu.
In a recent statement posted on the Association’s Twitter page, the target was a vehicle with Turkish workers and their armed escort.
Al-Shabaab spokesman Ali Dhere said that they were “deeply saddened by the loss of the civilians and sends its condolences to their families.”
This is the first time the group had showed remorse on an attack that caused mass civilian death and injury.
Al-Shabab’s claims come as the same day a National Security Agency official said the bomb had been planned by a yet unknown foreign government.
