Beledweyn(SD)-Reports from Jalalaqsi district in Hiran region say that Djiboutian troops who are part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) vacated bases in the district.

Mire Hussein Siyad, one of the security officials in the district, told the local media that all bases vacated by AMISOM, especially Djiboutian, were taken over by Somali government forces.

Security officials in Jalalaqsi district added that they still do not know why the Djiboutian forces have vacated their bases in the district.

So far, there have been no reports from Djiboutian military officials who have had major bases in Jalalaqsi district and in Beledweyne.
