Garowe(SD)-The President of Puntland State of Somalia, Dr. Abdullahi Deni, has appointed a new Puntland State Representative for the Diaspora in the United States.
In a press release the president of Puntland Said Deni named Mulki Abdisamad Hussein the Puntland representative in Washington.
“upon seeing the need to strengthen relations between the Puntland government and the Diaspora community in the United States Mulki Abdisamad Hussein was appointed as our Diaspora representative in the United States” said the statement from Pres. Deni.
Puntland is part of the Federal Government of Somalia, thus can not have a representative in another country.

Puntland does NOT deny to call herself as `Part and Parcel to the Federal Republic Of Somalia (FGS), yet its political and diplomatic maneuvers goes to a different way that leads to facilitate the dispostioning of all efforts in refurbishing New Somalia. Puntland´s daily moves are in contrast with the remedies of the Road Map – the Legacy most Somalis thought – that originated from Garowe. It could not be right, from a logical point of view, that Puntland would have both sides of the coin.
