Nairobi(SD)-The United Kingdom has said it will try mediation between Kenya and Somalia on maritime disputes.
Britain’s Ambassador to Kenya, Jane Marriot, said she would like to see Kenya and Somalia peacefully resolve the Maritimes issue.
Marriott said talks are still key to resolving maritime disputes between the two countries, she spoke to the Kenyan Vice-President William Ruto on his visit to her home on Tuesday.
The Somali government is refusing to negotiate, with President Farmajo saying last week at the UN, he will wait for the outcome of an international criminal court.
