Erigavo (SD) – Sanaag regional police commander Abdirizak Mohamed Farah confirmed that late last night an armed men attacked Erigavo police station, then fled.

The commander said they are being pursued and the attack is been investigated, but there were no casualties.

“Last night, at around 1 am, gunmen fired at the central police station of Erigavo, the army was ready and responded, then the assailants fled, and they did not cause any casualties, we are investigating their whereabouts and where they came from”. Said Commander Abdirisak, the unit commander.

Its suspected that the Col. Arre’s militia group were behind the late night  attack on the Police station.
