Hargeisa(SD)-Prof. Ali Khalif Galaydh traveled to Mogadishu today for the first time in five years after departing from Hargeisa.

The former president of Khatumo state told reporters he is going to Mogadishu for personal reasons.

Ali Khalif Galaydh and his administration Khatumo have signed a peace agreement with Somaliland, but the agreement is yet to be implemented.

The former president has been vocal on how the Somaliland government led by Muse Bihi is dragging it’s feet in implementing the agreement.

It’s politically possible that the federal government of Somalia is behind the Professor’s sudden trip to Mogadishu, in a plan to undermine the peace agreement..
