Beledweyne(SD)-The battle between the Djiboutian contingent of AMISOM and the Jalalaqsi district forces which took place today in the district resulted the Djiboutian troops taking control of all administrative centers.

The fighting erupted after the Jalalaqsi district administration refused to shut down Hormud headquarters and mobile service in the district, as to have the Djiboutian troops conduct their daily mine exploration missions.

People in Jalalaqsi confirmed that the Djiboutian troops have completely ousted the local administration, and are now in their centers.

It is the first confrontation between AMISOM troops and Somali government forces in Hiran region.
