Mogadishu(SD)-National Attorney General Dr Ahmed Ali Dahir said the Kenyan government is on the verge of withdrawing the current maritime case before the ICJ.

The national prosecutor’s statement comes at a time when the Kenyan government has applied for a postponement of the second phase of the Maritime Case trial before the ICJ court is set to reopen at 09.9. 2019 on Monday next week.

The Somali government has said it is unfortunate and unjustified Kenya’s request to postpone a maritime dispute hearing.
