Kismayo(SD)-Reports coming from Kismayo confirm heavy fighting between government forces and the Jubaland Regional forces on one side and the forces of Al-Shabab.

Residents say the government and Jubbaland forces were conducting operations in the region when al-Shabaab militants attacked them.

In part, the fighting took place in Burangun district, where people told the media that there were casualties and injuries on both sides.

Most of the Jubaland regions have experienced similar clashes between government and Jubbaland forces and Al-Shabaab fighters who control parts of the region.

The Somali Government and Jubaland authorities seem to be putting their political differences aside and are focusing on Al Shabab.
