Kismayo(SD)-An statement from the Presidency of the Jubaland state says that the federal government of Somalia is a threat to the security and stability of Kismayo.

The press statement dated 18/9/2019 spoke to the latest killings, some claimed by Al-Shabaab, in Belet-Hawo district in Gedo region and the latest operations in the Lower Juba region.

The statement also mentioned the election held in in Kismayo on 22/8/2019, and said that the election was held in a free and fair manner, and welcomes to talk to anyone who has concerns.

The ban on Kismayo Airport was also addressed in the statement and the resulting problems and the political instability that the federal government wanted to create in Kismayo.

The Jubbaland administration also said that the federal government’s ban on Kismayo has caused problems for civilian population.

The statement also said that Kismayo is under attack by the federal government of Somalia and Jubaland said the federal government will be responsible for the outcome.
