Kenya, Djibouti compete for a UN security counsel seat

New York(SD)-A African seat on the UN Security Council has become available and is being eyed by Kenya and Djibouti of East Africa.

This seat which is available to the African continent, have been competed by only Djibouti and Kenya.

The two countries are asking each other to concede the seat, but so far there has not been any response to those requests.

 Both countries have forwarded their application for the African seat at UN security counsel to the African Union and UN it’s self.

Kenya is reported to have a robust diplomatic campaign lately in the international arena and it is said that this is due to the ICJ case against Somalia.
