Kismayo(SD)-Somali Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abdullahi Salad [Omaar] explained why he missed a planned trip to Kismayo this week.

“I missed my trip to Kismayo in order to avoid any confrontation.  Although I have the right to be protected, when I in Kismayo the soil will protect me besides Allah, ”Oomaar said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

He also accused the current Jubaland leaders of escalations “I know my responsibility. The bad faith actors are driving the people crazy, and there will be no violence they didn’t propagate, cooler heads must prevail” he said.  

The Minister of Civil Aviation of Somalia could not attend the announcement ceremony for his Jubaland Presidency last week in Kismayo, after Jubaland authorities have banned any visitation from The Federal Government of Somalia.
