Galkayo (SD) – Galmudug Vice President of the Galkayo wing, Ibrahim Hassan Gureye who spoke to the media in Galkayo today denied that they have reached an agreement with the newly elected Galmudug president Ahmed Abdi Qoor.

Vice president Ali Dahir Eid told VOA recently, that they have reached an agreement with Ahmed Duale Gelle (Haf), who had previously rejected the Dhusamareb election.

Eid stated that Haf, who claimed he was still the president of Galmudug state, was made whole on all of his grievances.

However, Ibrahim Gureye said there was no dialogue between Haf and Qoor Qoor, let alone a deal, and that Haf is the official Galmudug president.

Gureye called on the federal government to stop promoting the political violence, which he said would bring conflict to Galmudug and other regions of Somalia.
