Garowe(SD)-Puntland State of Somalia marks the 21st anniversary of its founding today in Garowe.

The city of Garowe hosted a ceremony attended by Puntland President, Said Abdullahi Deni, his deputies, ministers, officials and other officials.

Also present were the Speaker of the Somali Parliament, the first Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, the Former President of Puntland State, and Senator of the Upper House of Parliament Abdirahman Sheikh Mohamed Mohamud Farole, former Vice President Abdisemed Ali Shire, officials of the FGS and Puntland, academics, politicians and the general public.

The armed forces, the people of Puntland from the regions, were also part of the celebration of the day that marked the beginning of Puntland’s history.

The celebration of Puntland’s anniversary celebration on 01 Augusto culminates with the planning and presentation organized by the Committee for the Remembrance Day.
