Bossaso (SD) – The president of the Jubaland regional state, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, was the first to arrive in Bossaso on Thursday for these discussions.

On his arrival, the president of Jubaland was welcomed by Puntland government officials led by President Deni.

Galmudug president Ahmed Duale Guelleh Haf, is also expected to arrive in Bossaso in the coming days, where the three leaders and representatives of the international community will hold a historic meetings.

The presidents of Puntland, Jubaland and Galmudug are to have meetings with the representatives of the international community, to discuss issues related to Somalia’s 2020/2021 elections and the conflict between the Federal Government of Somalia and regional governments.

The Federal government of Somalia has failed on its own to have a fruitful discussions with the three largest regional states in order to resolve fundamental governance issues.
