Mogadishu(SD) – The Somali Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has threatened action against Yardimeli Hospital in Mogadishu run by a Turkish organization.
A statement from the ministry said that there was no contract of employment with the Yardimeli.
“The ministry confirms that the agency operating at Yardimeli Hospital and its medical services are not in line with the laws and regulations of the country,” the statement said.
The statement added: “The Ministry of Health will take action against persons who have been exposed as violators of the law and are not in compliance with national law and international laws.”
The Ministry of Health on the other hand said it would like to thank the people of Turkey and for their brotherly support and great help to our Somali brothers and sisters, but the Ministry of Health cannot tolerate humanitarian and the brotherhood assistance to be used for Individual purposes.
The Turkish government and its Agency in Mogadishu didn’t respond to the Somali government’s claims.
