Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland government has voiced concern over the Somali government’s decision to turn back Fly Dubai flight headed to Hargeisa yesterday.
Somaliland’s UN representative Mohamed Warsame Duale, said in a Twitter post that the federal government had informed Fly Dubai that it could not land at Hargeisa airport.
The ambassador’s statement comes after Fly Dubai airline was refused to land at Egal International Airport in Hargeisa, supposedly by the Somali federal government.
The Somali Government is also suspected to have stopped Ethiopian Airlines to come to Hargeisa, the other international flight to Somaliland.
The federal government of Somalia has suspended all international flights to the country on Wednesday, which caused the cancelation of the flights to Somaliland, despite Somaliland’s claim of independence.
