Somali President attends the Opening Ceremony of Africa-Japan Cooperation Forum

Yokohama(SD)-The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, attended the opening of the 7th Japan-Africa Cooperation Forum hosted by Yokohama.

The opening of the conference, co-chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Honorary President and Chairperson of the African Union, Mr. Abdifatah Alsiisi.

Mr. Muse Faqi acknowledged the importance of the summit on economic development in African countries.

The symposium will focus on youth employment, women’s empowerment, private business promotion and fruitful development of UN and Japan joint projects in Africa.

The President’s delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad, Finance Minister HE Abdirahman Duale Beyleh, Executive Director General of the President Eng. Nur Dirir Hirsi (Fursade) and President’s Advisor to the President Balal Osman.
