Beledweyne(SD)-Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and his delegation arrived yesterday in Beledweyne to assess the flood situation and it’s impact.

The president, along with members of the Somali parliament, ministers and visit the Hawo Tako Bridge, the worst point were floods hit the town the most, and along the main valley that flows into the Shabelle River.

The President visited Beledweyne the same way last year when he assed the flood-affected neighborhoods.

The Somali government has called on the donor organization to provide emergency assistance to the displaced in Beledweyne, while on the other hand is running a flood rescue campaign organized by Somali people both inside and outside the country.
