Mogadishu(SD)-Somali police have arrested all officers accused of killing a Somali National Army commander last night at checkpoint located near the Nasa-Hablood Hotel.

Deputy Police Commissioner Jen Zakia Hussein said all the officers at checkpoint were arrested and will be investigated.

The officer killed at the checkpoint was identified as Madahey Saleban, the commander of Gorgor, the country’s armed forces and was a leading the government’s attack and capture of Awdheegle district.

It is not the first time clashes that caused the death of officers and soldiers have erupted between Somalia government troops.
