Mogadishu July 21,2019(SD)-The Speaker of the House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman has appointed a Transitional National Committee to prepare the National Electoral Law.

The chairman of the House’ appointed committee of the House of Representatives consists of 15 members of the parliament, and will be tasked with ensuring the electoral process and amendment of the electoral law approved by the cabinet, to be a public alliance.

There was controversy over the election law approved by the Cabinet in May, but the nomination of this committee, by chairman Mursal is a powerful show, and is meant to prevent a quick implementation of the Law by the Parliament.
