Somalia’s National party forum addresses the situation in Gedo

Mogadishu (SD) – The National party forum of Somalia has issued a press statement tonight on the situation in Gedo region and the recent troop deployment by the federal government.

First the Forum in their statement, sent condolences to the families of the soldiers who died in the fighting in Beled-Hawa district, and asked God to heal the injured.

“It is disgraceful to fly troops, to spend too much money in order to destabilize a safe region, while Shabab is occupying the territories between Banadir and Jubaland. The forum strongly opposes the way Director of the Security Agency Fahad Yasin has destroyed the structure of the National Constitutional Armed Forces, using them for personal political reasons.” Said the National Party Forum statement.

The National Party Forum proposed advise to the federal government officials and the Gedo elders in their press release.

Somalia’s federal army and Jubaland forces in Gedo had clashed there few time last week, the Somalia federal forces are currently in charged of the region.
