Somaliland concerned about youths leaving for Mogadishu

Hargeisa (SD) – The government of Somaliland, led by President Muse Bihi, spoke about youth traveling to Mogadishu, which has been growing trend in recent years.

Jama Mohamoud Ahmed, the Governor of Marodi-Jeh region, addressed the issue and warns Somaliland youth who are traveling to Mogadishu.

“The officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports are on the lookout for implementation of youth policy on behalf of the president of the Republic of Somaliland, who values the youth,” said Governor Jama Haji Ahmed.

The governor finally urged the youth to safeguard their nationality, and to ignore the federal government recruitment calls.

He urged the federal government to stop their recruitment plans for Somaliland youth, as they live in a safe country.

There has been a sharp rise in the number of young Somalilanders traveling to Mogadishu, leaving due to Somaliland harsh authoritarian Kulmiye Rule.
