Hargeisa (SD) – As the Somaliland authorities announce plans to combat the spread of the Coronavirus in that country, group of students from China got in to the country unchecked.
The students who are currently being searched for are feared to have come from the region where the Coronavirus has killed hundreds of people.
11 young Somalilanders who were studying in China arrived in Hargeisa yesterday and went into the city without a health examination, according to Dr. Mohamed Dahir of the Ministry of Health.
China is where the disease is first deducted and has spread to the rest of the world. News comes after the Somaliland government announced it had put in place measures to ensure travelers were healthy before they go into the country.
It’s not clear which cities in Somaliland the students may have traveled to, there are no reports of them displaying the symptoms of the Coronavirus since they got into the country.
