Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland Police were seen all over Hargeisa arresting Oromo illegal workers and street beggars today.

For the last three days, Somaliland police have been seen arresting Oromo beggars in the commercial centers of the city.

Also, Police were seen at businesses that employed immigrants, checking their work permits, and visas, arresting them if their papers didn’t check out.

The Somaliland security forces have not yet commented on why the government of Somaliland is pursuing the Oromo people who have been begging and working in Hargeisa for years, but for a while now, the public have been complaining about the Oromo people’s behavior.
