Hargeisa(SD)-The Spokesperson of the Somaliland President, Mr. Mohamud Warsame Jama, has responded to allegations from the Wadani opposition party chair,  about election commission members rejected by Wadani party.

The president’s spokesman said the electoral law was followed by selecting members of the electoral commission, any correction is the responsibility of the House of Representatives, which has the power to prohibit any member who isn’t qualified.

“The government of President Muse Bihi Abdi is committed to hold elections, the people of Somaliland are ready to go to the polls, and the government is committed to preparing for the elections. ” said the president’s spokesman.

Wadani party  is opposed to two members of the National Electoral Commission and called for their removal.
