The first Supreme Court complaint filled against the Somali government

Mogadishu(SD)-The National Himilo party, led by former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, has for the first time filed a lawsuit against the Somali government.

Sharif Sheikh Ahmed explained the lawsuit filed at the high court is to protect the country’s law and order, saying they expect a fair trial.

He said the case goes exclusively to the executive who violated the law, as he put it, adding that no one is above the law.

On 22 September, Sheikh Sharif was denied boarding a flight to Kismayo, As a result, a number of reactions have arisen, as political parties formed alliances in Mogadishu.

It is the first time that one of the opposition parties in the country has filed a lawsuit against the Somali government, it is not known what legal decision the court will take.
